Iris
video hit tracking via mobile device
Short description
The «Iris» application is software for monitoring, displaying, and analyzing shooting results when operating with the «Iris-1» and «Iris-2» electronic target systems, designed for conducting training sessions and competitions in rifle shooting in accordance with the rules of the Belarusian Shooting Sport Federation.
The application is installed on a tablet and provides wireless communication with the target. Upon target engagement, the application displays the following information in a clear numerical and graphical format: for each shot, the point of impact, shot value, and series total are shown. This enables the shooter and coach to monitor results remotely, in real time, without the need to approach the target for verification.
Among the application's key functions is the logging of all shooting session history, which allows tracking result dynamics, analyzing errors, and assessing shooter progress over time. Through precise hit registration (accurate to one-half of one-tenth of the target diameter), human factor influence on shot evaluation is eliminated, while the training process itself becomes more objective, faster, and cost-effective — with no time or consumable expenditures on replacing paper targets.
Flexible software configuration allows selecting the target type and exercise in accordance with shooting sport rules, setting series parameters, and running competition tournament mode. The system is equally effective in both indoor ranges and outdoor shooting facilities — at distances from 10 to 50 m, depending on the target system model used («Iris-1» or «Iris-2»).
